3 Days / 2 Nights Tangkoko Tour (November 22-24) & 6 Days / 5 Nights
Tasikoki Wildlife Rescue Center (November 24-29)
November 22Safari will pick up your guests from airport and then proceed to
Tangkoko
National Park http://www.sunda-islands.com/lexikon-tangkoko.php . The 2-hour drive to the 9000-hectare National Park is quite scenic as we pass through small villages.
Upon arrival, immediately check in to Mama Roos Homestay or equivalent. You
will then be guided by local forest rangers (and Safari staff) in search of
the Black Crested Macaque (Black Monkey indigenous to North Sulawesi),
hornbills, and couscous as well as other fauna specific to the reserve.
Depending on what time it gets dark, we will head into the denser part of
the jungle as the sun is setting, where you will (most likely) be able to
get photographs of the Tarsier Spectrum (the world's smallest primate).
After it is completely dark and the Tarsier have departed for their nightly
foraging, we head back to the homestay for a basic traditional dinner.
Overnight. - Dinner.
November 23 : Starting 5.30 AMRising early, you will again hike into the forest with local rangers where
you will have the best opportunity to view more birds and certainly the
Black Crested Macaque as these monkeys are earlier risers and are searching
out food along the coastline at Tangkoko. After several hours it's back to
the homestay for a traditional breakfast. After Lunch we will head back the
jungle as the sun is setting, where you will (most likely) be able to get
photographs of the Tarsier Spectrum (the world's smallest primate).
After it is completely dark and the Tarsier have departed for their nightly
foraging, we head back to the home-stay for a basic traditional dinner.
Overnight - dinner. - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
November November 24 : Starting 5.30 AMRising early, you will again hike into the forest with local rangers (if you
choose) where you will have the best opportunity to view more birds and
certainly the Black Crested Macaque as these monkeys are earlier risers and
are searching out food along the coastline at Tangkoko. After several hours
it's back to the home-stay for a traditional breakfast and prepare to go to
Tasikoki. -Breakfast.

mentioned on the itinerary, home-stay accommodation ------- 10% commission
November 24 - 29 : Tasikoki Wildlife Rescue Center http://www.tasikoki.org/index.php?optio ... 7&Itemid=2 The short stay fee is currently USD 100 per person per night. As this is a charity program, we
only add a booking fee of USD 20 per person hence the rate will be (USD 100
x 5 nights) + USD 20 per person = USD 520. We don't get any commission as
Tasikoki Wildlife Rescue Center is a non-profit center so all the funds
raised go to critical care of the animals, which is still under-funded. As
for the availability, they currently have maximum 2 double rooms available
and they can put additional single bed in each room (6 people in maximum).
In this case, please advise the exact number of people travelling, if there
will be 8 people, 2 of the 8 people will need to stay in dorms with the
volunteers (the same rate will be applied) unless they want to stay 4 people
in one room.
During their stay at this place, in the morning your guests may see
cassowary beneath their balcony or the rare and endangered babirusa. In the
evenings, Java rusa deers are calling outside their windows and they may
catch a glimpse of these shy creatures. They can follow the volunteers as
they sweat their day away feeding and cleaning up the animals (.. and
perhaps your guests would like to get their hands dirty too ?

) Or the guests can just relax or take a stroll to the beach. The guests
will share meal times with the volunteers.
